Congressional App Challenge
Congressman Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD) has opened this year’s Congressional App Challenge for the 7th District — a competition aimed at encouraging students to learn how to code by creating their own applications.
The Challenge was created by Members of Congress to encourage student innovation in the world of STEM. This is an opportunity for middle and high school students to compete against their peers in both their district and the nation. Eligible students in Maryland’s 7th District (Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Howard County) are encouraged to apply and submit their own apps.
Students must submit their original app by November 1, 2019.
The winner of the Congressional App Challenge will be featured on the U.S. House of Representatives’ website www.house.gov and displayed in a U.S. Capitol exhibit. If students have any questions, please contact Rep. Cummings’ Baltimore District Office by phone at (410) 685-9199 or email Ms. Philisha Lane at Philisha.Lane@mail.house.gov.
