Washington, DC (June 13, 2013)—Today, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent a letter seeking clarification of the reasons behind Committee Chairman Darrell Issa’s recent decision to reverse his pledge to release full transcripts of IRS officials interviewed by the Committee and requesting that he identify the specific text of transcripts he believes should continue to be withheld from the American public.
